1) Глагол like употребляется как в комбинации с герундием (Ing-form), так и в комбинации с инфинитивом (To-infinitive).2) В британском варианте английского языка глагол like употребляется с герундием в значении "испытывать удовольствие от некоторого процесса". Если же речь идет о том, что человек имеет привычку выполнять действие, которое он считает полезным, но не обязательно приятным, like употребляется в сочетании с инфинитивом.John likes to wash up immediately after the meal — Джон любит помыть посуду сразу после еды (Удовольствия от процесса мытья посуды Джон, скорее всего, не испытывает. 3) Выражение would like - хотелось бы всегда употребляется с инфинитивом.I would like to eat an apple — Мне бы хотелось съесть яблоко.
